Dr. Rohit Prasad Varkey is a highly skilled consultant shoulder surgeon with specialized expertise in shoulder and sports-related injuries. He completed his super specialisation with, advanced clinical and research fellowship training in Shoulder and Sports Injuries at the prestigious Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune, under the mentorship of renowned shoulder expert Dr. Ashish Babhulkar. Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital is recognized as a leading center for sports orthopaedics in India, offering cutting-edge surgical techniques and comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored for athletes and active individuals.

Dr. Rohit Prasad Varkey also completed the IASES Travelling Fellowship in the USA, a program specifically designed for advanced training in shoulder, elbow, and sports surgery. This fellowship is affiliated with the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), providing exposure to world-class surgical practices and innovations in sports medicine.

Dr. Rohit Prasad Varkey has also done multiple shoulder specific training programmes in France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea. He has also been invited as faculties for shoulder and sports associated conferences.

Most recently, a surgical technique developed by Dr. Rohit Prasad Varkey was accepted by the European Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, marking a significant milestone in his contributions to the global orthopaedic community.
